I want to move some apps to my SD card and I downloaded the AppManager III and when go to the move apps tab it tells me "This device does not have a real primary external storage or primary external storage is emulated". I definitely have am SD card in there and I know it's working because all my photos are still there. How do I fix this?

    4GB SD card

It is saying because the internal storage aka sdcard0 is emulated (just a partition of the internal memory) external_SD would be your physical sd card. I use Link2SD and use "Create Link" and that seams to work fine.

Have you partitioned your external SD? I used aparted from the play store.

No I haven't. I downloaded aparted but I haven't done anything with it yet because of the warning about how it can mess up your phone and considering I don't really know what I'm doing I don't want to mess it up. Could someone maybe walk me through how that works?

Yeah, I get that. But links2sd is looking for the second partition, specifically (correct me if I'm wrong), an ext4 partition.

using aparted. Press the green + sign, choose fat32(which is probably already selected), and you'll specify how of your SD card you want for your music and regular storage. Then hit the green + sign again, choose ext4, then you'll specify the rest as the partition you want your apps to go on (mostly).

Use ext2 as your second partition, it will work better then ext4.

I tried ex2 and it still says that my primary storage is emulated.

I used FAT32 for both my partitions and it worked fine.

Also, there is no app2sd that works. You must use Link2SD app and I believe it has documentation on it in the link I provided above in this post.

You can just connect the SD card to your PC and use a PC program like the free EaseUS Partition Master to create the FAT32/EXT3/EXT4 partition. That way is more comfortable because you're guaranteed not to screw up your phone.

I have the same problem, but when i choose in AParted the size of sd, then its do nothing, just says zero...
And when i press ''apply changes'' its says ur sd card will be deleted
I choose for both 7000 MB, because i have 16 GB sdCard, and only left 14,9 GB...
    Part: 1
    •FS: fat32
    •Size: 0 MB
    Part: 2
    •FS: ext4
    •Size: 0 MB
What i need to do with size to increase it? PLS HELP

Do you mean connect the external SD card via putting it in your cell phone, and then hooking up your cell phone via usb to computer? You don't need a usb card reader right?
