Twrp told me ot was broke so I let it fix then rebooted and opened su to update the binary. Btw this build seemingly fixed the battery drain and heat problems I was having with the last build

I was actually going to install the stupid thing to see what it does. I have a new phone coming since usb port on this one is screwy. I reverted to stock but still get error on getprop assert check.

Edit the build.prop to match the updater-script. ;)

Flag the new zip in the op (I updated it)
It takes away the assert function as twrp for this phone doesn't register right

So I tried this update and it seemed to work fine, I even flashed the new kernel as well. The issue that I had was that it seems to have messed up the init scripts because my storage wasn't swapped anymore. I had to flash victorious back over it for the time being. I might flash this update back on and then manually add the init scripts.

But I think I'm gonna take a break tonight, it's almost time for some football! :)

Alright, I couldn't help myself, I just poked around and noticed that after flashing the update2.zip in this thread (flashing update2.zip over Victorious 0.2.2-R1 with the new VaeVictus MG5-OC kernel installed) the install-recovery.sh script was removed. So I just went back and copied it so that my storage swap works again.

More details on the process in my post here: http://androidforums.com/virgin-mob...-people-who-updated-firmware.html#post6051483
