Okay so i was surfing on the web on google chrome on my samsung s4, i was on a normal website i've visited 100 times before and suddenly this thing popped up. It said that i've visited a porn site (which i have.. but xhamster is a trusted site right?) and so i tried to get away from it and it redirected me to this site, trying to make me download an antivirus.
The first popup looked pretty legit, like if it was officially from chrome telling me some virus had like 20% of my personal data.

And this obviously seems like a scam, but why did it pop up randomly when I was on this trusted site ive been to so many times during the last 5 years. Is it something with chrome? Cause i panicked and did a factory reset, but i just kinda want to know if it was just a scam and im safe now or if I should be worried.

    thanks

Don´t panic these are just annoying things popping up if you don´t block ads. In your case they wanted you to download their antivirus from third party sites which can damage your smartphone so just don´t do it.
