I have an tab s 10.5, and I downloaded something that asked a lot of permission.I never encountered a del virus so I just went with it. Now after rebooting after 10 - 20 seconds it says something like "com.android.senscp doesn't work" something like that. And now I'm curious, can I allow apps on safe mode so I can temporarily use safe mode (apps like WhatsApp and stuff) and is there a way I can disable the virus? It's called quick swipe and it automatically turns on and causes the problem I think. I tdied the antivuris from Norton and clean master. And if I wipe my data can I recover my apps after that? Cause there are some tings I really would not like to lose.. thanks in advance

If you know what it is, the first thing to try is just booting into safe mode and deleting it.

I'd avoid Clean Master - the company behind that (Cheetah Mobile) are data-miners and spammers, and I would regard them as a problem rather than a solution.

If you do a factory reset then you can only recover what you've already backed-up.

Unfortunately I can't find the thing I downloaded, I tried to download an app and clicked on a fake download button and gave it a lot of permission.. but on my Samsung device I clicked on back up my data and automatic restore. What does this mean? And is there any way I can reset it to an earlier state for example a week ago like you can do on windows?

Phones do not have the storage capacity to maintain rolling state backups (and for the same reason, if you delete something it is deleted, none of this "in the recycle bin still taking up space in case you change your mind" stuff).

Clicking that backup I think means that it will have made a cloud backup of at least some of your data. But I'd not trust it for anything that's important to you - back that up separately. I'm afraid I've no experience of that menu option as I prefer to manage my own backups and so keep that turned off (I'm also rooted, so have a lot of backup options).

Did your anti-malware apps find anything (I can't use the word "virus" because this isn't a virus - you had to download and install it, whereas a virus could propagate itself)? Or you could try another scanner such as MalwareBytes. My guess is that the thing has used a different name to hide itself, but did you look in Apps > All rather than just Apps > Downloaded (if it appears in All but not Downloaded that's a bad sign BTW, as it would mean it's managed to install to system)?

Thanks for explaining so much man, I tried doing malwarebytes but at (exactly, multiple times) 42 seconds it says android has stopped. And do u by any chance know a backup method that doesn't require root? I tried rooting my tab s and there is only 1 method I can find and if doesn't work (I did everything you need to do multiple times)

"Android as stopped"? That's an interesting message.

Helium, from the Play Store, gives a pretty good app backup without root.

There are many SMS backup apps. Contacts synced with Google are safe, or you can "export" from the contacts app which writes to them to a vcard file (.vcf) which you can copy to safety.

Any pictures etc in internal storage I'd back up to a computer or the cloud for safety.

"com.android.senscp" stopping is the only message? Do you have any other symptoms? And is that the exact message (because I've not been able to find anything about that particular module)?

Black bars trough the screen right before it shuts off. And this thing called quick swipe. Other then that not much I included a few images of it but I couldn't do , since as I said it turns off prettyquickly. But I beard another guy on another forum say you can allow apps in safe mode. Is that possible ? And if so how do I do that? Thanks again
Sorry I did some images more then once but I couldn't quite figure out when it w a s uploaded and how to upload

I'm not certain this is actual malware - it could just be a buggy app.

There is an app called "Quick Swipe" in the Play Store, which does require a lot of permissions. Is that the thing, and did you install it from the Play Store? That last is important, because even if it is the same app if you installed it from elsewhere you may not know what might have been added to it (i.e. there's a much higher chance it is malicious if you downloaded it from some random site).

It seems that this app sets itself as a device administrator, in which case you'd need to unset that before you could delete it. There are actually instructions on that Play Store page. So if this is the same thing, maybe try that.

Hey I think I solved it, the app I downloaded (or malware) is called com.android.scenscp, this explains why it doesn't show up on Google, I thought quick swipe (I don't think the one from the playstore) was the problem cause that kept popping up. Also when I turned off the WiFi and deleted a folder called swipe it could work. When I turned on WiFi it automatically downloaded again. Lucky malwarebytes showed me this app was running. I consider this solved and want to thank u for all your help I really aprriciate it :)

Hey! I had this virus on my phone. So I read the last post, and I followed the instructions but I couldn´t find the app with that name, so I look for some app with a rare name and I found com.android.sensdy, and decided to erase it. That´s it! The virus is gone. I hope you find the ones in your phones. Thanks everyone for the help.

Hi, I had the same problem in my phone, the thing is I think it keeps changing the name of the file. I found a "com.android.sensfe" and erased it. It worked all right. But I had to do that thing with the anti-virus on: erase the folder called swipe with the wifi off and then turn the wifi back on, then I could see the name of the file in the app manager and THEN look for it and erase it.

Hi I know I'm late here but I need your guys help. I have a Galaxy A5 and I accidentally downloaded and installed quick swipe. The effects have been close enough to that of the first poster but I haven't seen any adverse performance issues. I have read and followed correctly (I think?) the advise given to the original poster. I found and 'removed' quick swipe but it was still running. It stayed to the side of the screen. I restarted the phone to see if it would go into effect then. It is as far as I can tell still operating fine with me having removed the application. I downloaded the malware detection software and ran a scan. It found no malware and offered no other solution. So I guess it may not actually be malware but it still bugs me that I can't get rid of it. I didn't fully understand what was meant by going into safe mode and turning off WiFi. Also in reply please use easy to understand lingo technology speaking. Hope you van help and thanks

    Hello everyone,

So I have gone through this same issue. Mal ware to be exact "Quick Swipe"

I read this thread and tried everything stated, reboot in safe mode. Deleting files. Nothing was working. I then downloaded Avast Antivirus from the play store and scanned my phone. Worked like a charm and found the issue and deleted the malware. Check the app out. May help.
