Help Vlingo not compatible with Google Voice?

I'm trying out Vlingo on my Droid X and while Vlingo seems very capable, it doesn't seem to go to the right place to send text and calls. I've set up my phone to use Google voice as the default app for both calls and text, but every time I voice command Vlingo to send a text or make a call, it pulls up the Verizon phone and message apps instead of Google Voice app. This is driving me nuts as I couldn't figure out why. If I use the stock voice command/dialer, it pulls up Google voice just fine like it's supposed to.

Does anyone have any ideas how to make Vlingo to use Google voice instead of the phone's original apps? Much thanks.
