Have you used the in car feature? There are other car navigation apps but Vlingo is pretty nice. I like how you can wake it up by saying, "Hey Vlingo". It will then answer back and you can tell it what you would like it to do. You can also customize the phrase it will say when you wake it up. So if your name is say John, it might respond, "What can I do for you John".

I'll have to try it..assuming that (hopefully) it won't try to read anything that gets sent to my private in-box. Wife probably wouldn't like hearing my phone tell me that my girlfriend misses me and loves me lots :p

the only usefull feature i've found using vlingo is reading texts through my bluetooth. other than that it really just sux. it never recognizes my voice commands on any phone, and drains your battery pretty quick too.

Tried Siri on my nieces 4s and out of five questions it understood one. Vlingo works great for me.

There are plenty of apps that will read your text messages.
I stopped using vlingo because even though I had it set to only read over bluetooth, it would read over the speaker.

There are a couple of headset manufacturers with their own apps for reading messages. Both plantronics and blueant have them.

As for a siri like app, try speaktoit.

Yeah, I like speaktoit best, too. I do have Vlingo installed just for the car part, but otherwise I use speaktoit.
