I am running BB v4 and can't seem to do this. Is there a rom that does? Will this be coming on BBv5 you think?

You have to download voice search from the market to get the new features.

Yeah I figured that out but still can't do text properly. Also the listen to music feature says my player is not support. Can anyone tell me which players are support?

My bad. Guess this only works with online/streaming radio?

Apparently it is only using online/streaming. BTW I'm not using BB, I'm on LiQuID. I do like the text feature though.

The music thing is really bothering me, why is there no option to choose which of the many different music players I have to use? just LastFM? silly.

You were able to get the texting to work without hitting send?

didnt remember reading 2.2 as a requirement for voice search only for chrome to phone, but i guess that makes sense they would require the same API's

No, I still have to hit send.

Seriously I can't get any of the new features to work in a way I would think useful.

Set Alarm won't work with my version of Clock but the market won't find the link Google has either.

Listen to: doesn't work with any of my music players, it doesn't even recognize pandora like the video, and I can't figure out how to remove the default its set to.

So I can navigate and search, I could do those before...

Maybe it is a theme or kernel you applied. I am stock on both running BB 4 and no problems. Just a thought

I was able to install VS by first uninstalling it via TiBu & rebooting, then dl'ing the new VS off the Market.

But, I can't get Chrome to Phone to install.

Edit: Got C2P working the same way. After the 3rd try, it finally took. I'm running Smoked Glass v6 -FRG22.

any way to set it as the default search method that comes up when we lick the little search magnify glass on our phones? I can loooooong press and make it work, but why not just short press?

Either you can put google search bar on your desktop. That will do the search, and launch the browser automaticly as needed.

Or if you are in the browser, use the onscreen keyboard, which has the microphone on it.

A minor detail that I can live without. Composing full voice e-mails and text msgs.. Not sure I could live w/o it now.
