So you never set up sync and sync'd your contacts online? Or Sync'd any contacts to your SD card?

Call your service provider and ask for the voice mail telephone number.

Or do a google search for your providers voice mail number. There is no shortcut for my provider. I actually dial a number in a different area code for my voicemail.

How exactly did you sort it out? I've noticed that it happens only AFTER you turn the telephone off and back on again. If you Factory Reset it and the SD card the voicemail number comes back and works correctly as usual from the speeddial 1. After you power cycle the phone the number disappears. It's driving me nuts!!! Please help, and thanks in advance,

M

The contacts must have been imported onto your SIM card itself.

My tip is like Sam's

Open Contacts....top left, click the icon that looks like 3 Users.

Then go under Contacts and Uncheck Phone Contacts (if all your contacts are under Google....keep those checked.

Then it should only show the google ones.

That or find a way to delete the contacts off the SIM card.

I found another way which seems to work without messing with the contacts synchronization and it always works. Download the "Hidden Features App Sammy Edition" from the Android Market and then

1. Start the Hidden Features App. On the first page you'll find several buttons. Almost at the bottom you'll find Service Mode.
2. Go into Service Mode. In this mode you press lines on the screen to access functions and the Options (left soft) key gives you navigation capabilities within the Service Mode menus.
3. Go to COMMON.
4. Go to FTM and set it to ON. Go BACK.
5. Go to NV REBUILD. Go to NV REBUILD. Go BACK. Do END.
6. Exit the Hidden Features App. Reboot the Phone with the SIM inserted. It will reboot with no service. Go to the Dialer, press Options and program your Voicemail number into a contact called Voicemail in the SIM card. Associate it to Speeddial button 1.
7. Start the Hidden Features App and go into Service Mode again.
8. Go to FTM and set it to OFF. Go BACK. Do END. Exit the Hidden Features App.
9. Reboot the phone and voil
