Help Voice Search & other voice apps...not working

Okay, yesterday I updated to the android 2.1 & rooted my phone. I have voice caller ID, & speak message service (reads out SMS messages)...& yesterday & even a few hours ago, they were working just fine... I even tried out the new voice search stuff (microphone icon) & it was fine...
Well bout an hour or so ago, my phone rang & it no longer said who was calling, nor will it read out my texts...& when I click on the microphone icon, a screen pops up that says "Audio Problems" try again or cancel.
What could have happened that suddenly made these stop working?

If I have to reset my phone again, will I have to re-update the androiod 2.1 & root my phone again?

Can someone help me out please? I would really appreciate your guys help.

Hello there! I new to the android world and would like some help. I cant seem to send sms using voice search as what the are showing in youtube. I running on android 2.2 on an HTC desire phone.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
