Voice to text not working on gboard - only gboard, all other apps work fine

Hi Guys,
I have a Xiaomi Mi 9T running Android 10 on MIUI 11
I am going nuts because voice to text does not work on gboard.
Only gboard is affected - all other apps work fine with voice to text, I have tried all.

I have almost tried everything, no go.

If I delete updates in "APPS" then gboard starts to work for English spoken text, but then
after a minute or so it stops working again.

Is there any solution? I really love gboard but I need the voice to text feature.

Phone Language : English
Region : Europe, Hungary
Gboard voice settings : English, Hungarian

Please help.

When you have Gboard on screen, tap on the little gearbox icon in the Gboard menubar, and the Gboard settings menu should show. If you tap on 'Voice typing' is it enabled?
