Help Voicemail issues

Okay so I feel like I could rip my hair out this is so frustrating. Someone left a voice mail on my phone about a week ago. And I have had a voice mail pending icon in my notification bar since. ( And no I cannot clear it out ). I have no messages in my voice mail. I don't know what to do. Please help! It may sound silly but I want that dumb icon off my phone!!!!!!!!!!!!

Call yourself from another phone leave a message. Then go to your phone and delete it. It should clear then.

I had that issue before... For me it was a vice mail that did not download...i had to call voice mail and delete it the old fashion way...by pressing 7...
