VOIP on Hudl, is it possible?
BTW, I do not mean Skype.

My phone at home is the pits. 3rd dead line this year.
I do have internet by wireless.

I need what is called, I think, a SIP Trunk to get VOIP facility but can I use my Hudl for it?

Yes, I saw other VOIP forum topics but two are four years old and the other two got no replies.

What is it you're looking to do? Divert voice calls on your land line to your hudl?

Hmmm. Hadn't thought of it that way. It's a possibility.

However, what I had thought possible is to dispose of landline altogether and use my landline number on VOIP.
I have discussed with my landline provider and they seem to think that method will work?
Apparently whoever provides the SIP Trunk can use my existing number?

Thanks. I had a quick look at Sipdroid. 4/5 score - pretty good.
But. One reviewer scorned it as not having a lot of codecs.
Haven't found out why VOIP comms need codecs. This suggests different formats of audio & video?
