Help Volume Issue

So, as I said before the volume on the X10 is about 2/3 the volume of my iPhone, but I thought I'd try the same headphones in my galaxy spica and its definatly comparable to my iPhones volume. Do you guys think this is hardware or is it maybe that sony limited the volume out using mediascape because on my Galaxy I just use android default media player.

I am yet to hear my phone ring or a text message alert when its in my pocket! I can barely have a conversation outside either as any background noise takes over! PLease email SE and tell them this...I have done several times but they don't seem to acknowledge that there is a volume problem....please email them!!!!!!
