Firstly, I know this is not unique. I tried searching Google for the above terms and there are others who have/had this problem but I could not find any solutions. Hence why I

I just did a factory reset and no difference.

I wonder what this problem is? It's not uncommon. Is it a fault HTC recognises?

If you've done a factory reset and it's still the same, it's definitely a hardware fault.

There were motherboard issues on earlier handsets, but the normal symptoms of that were random reboots/shutdowns. Not sure if your issue is related to the motherboard, but it wouldn't be impossible.

You are def covered under warranty (providing you've not dropped it or anything or the water damage indicators aren't red) so there's no harm in giving HTC a call.

I bought my DHD Jan 11...May the Up volume button stopped working so took it back for repair at CPW where they sent it off to HTC who said they could not find or understand the fault so as my phone was under warrenty of 2 years they gave me a new handset.

I have exactly the same problem and my mobile is out of warranty (HTC Desire HD A9191). Most probably it is a hardware issue as when I press quite hard the small telephone battery cover, sometimes WiFi & Bluetooth are back to life.

Can anyone please advice where I may send it for repair in NYC

Thanks in advance for any light in this

Hi Chorta, welcome to AF! :)

As far as I'm aware, the standard manufacturers warranty on all DHD's is 2 years and given it only came out in Oct 2010, you should be able to send it back to HTC for them to repair free of charge.

I'm sure they sell accessories via htc.com too so you might find buying a new battery cover sorts it (the battery cover also doubles as the WiFi antenna).
