vpn with fortigates?

    Anybody using the android VPN to a Fortigate unit with IPSEC?
    It's standard preshared-key/P1/P2.

    Want to make sure this works before buying anything with Android on it. So far, found bubkiss.

    We are running FG-110C's (HA) mode. My HTC Thunderbolt works great with the L2TP/IPSEC settings.

    However, (yeah there's that other hand) - my Vizio VTAB, as well as my colleague's Galaxy Tab will not connect. When we enter our vpn password, we immediately get the message:

    "Unable to connect to the network, do you want to try again?"

    This is regardless of a correct or BS password entered. The devices do not appear to even attempt to connect to the VPN gateway. I am doing this from home, and as I stated, the HTC device hits it all day no sweat (over wifi). The Vizio just repeats the message I mentioned, over and over, no matter how many times I try.

    Since I set up the firewall, and the HTC works fine (as does my iPad w/L2TP), it definitely isn't a firewall/network issue. I am desperately looking for clues.

    So in answer to your question, it appears that not all Android 2.3 is created equal.
