Input is requested ... I have a bb8330 curve on verizon. I also have a dell laptop with a CDMA 3G card in the computer. I'm paying 59.95/mo under an old all you can eat data plan with VZW.

The 8330 is due for replacement. I am eligible for new 2 year. I want to wait for VZW to announce their LTE 4G phones because I want to drop the separate dataplan for my laptop and use the LTE phone as a WAP for my laptop.

Does anyone have any idea if WAP access be allowed on VZW LTE phones?
    Thx

If its anything like their 3G setup, then you will have to pay $20 a month to add tethering to the phone. I would assume they will offer something similar.

If you get an android phone, you can root it and tether wirelessly for free.

It is worth noting that their 4G plans are going to be more expensive than 3G (I believe this is what they are doing anyway), similar to Sprint. Sprint does give you some added perks with that extra fee. Not sure if VZW will be doing that.

Maybe not. 4g Mobile Broadband is cheaper for more bandwidth than 3g was. 5 gig for $50, 10 gig for $80. It used to be 39.99 for 250 mb, 59.99 for 5 gig, $200 for 10 gig. But from what I understand that pricing is just for people who pick up the new 4g modems.

That's really like saying a Bugatti Veyron is useless because it can run out of gas in 12 minutes.

Honestly, the way you phrased that question, it really sounded like you were complaining about the network being too fast...

It is too fast in the sense that people will not control their usage. The faster you can download, the more you will want to download. There will be little moderation especially for those torrenters. I don't think he was complaining..maybe just came out wrong.
