vzw preorders?

So does anyone know if verizon is going to do preorders for this phone?

Not sure at this point. Just got off the phone with VZ Service and they still will not acknowledge that the Fascinate is even coming. They did however tell me that Blackberry was coming out with some type of iPad like device. The service rep was very nice but stated that many times those on the internet know about new devices launching before they do... No kidding.

I believe it they didn't know anything about the droid 2 til the week it was being relwased they keep it under wraps

I love how Verizon never acknowledges but Best Buy does. When I called to confirm with the lady at the Best Buy mobile center in the Best Buy near me. She said they are taking preorders starting on the 29th. She then went to her email and told me that the release date is set for the first or second week or September.

i know this reply is coming a little late, but no, verizon will not be doing pre-order. but, this shouldnt be as high-demand as the x, so it shouldnt be a problem to get one in a verizon store on day 1.

I can confirm this, I talked with a Verizon Rep yesterday and she stated they will NOT be doing pre-orders for these like Dinc. I will be hitting Verizon stores early on the 9th!
