Root [VZW] S-Off coming soon!!!!!

    beaups has done it again!

    He says he has a method that will work on both the original stock software and the small OTA that is currently out.

    I'll post a link when the method is released, which he says will be soon.

    i am sure they are working on it.

    you don't need rumrunner upgraded if you are already s-off (from what I understand).

    Never could get rumrunner to work for me. Just got the kit kat OTA upgrade, hope I can root this darn phone some day. Ads are so annoying!!

    Firewater is for s-off and requires root. The temproot method used on the firewater site doesn't work on 4.4.2. I tried it and it fails.

    Hey guys. Also have HTC ONE Verizon 4.4.2 and really hope that soon we can manage to enjoy root!

    I have same experience - doesn't work!

    Just did this ... weaksauce followed by firewater ... on my new HTC One that had recieved the update. Worked, but you need to remember to wait 30-45 seconds after the phone reboots before the command "su" works, as weaksauce doesn't kick in immediately after boot.

    Other than that, I'm now S-OFF, TWRP installed, and trying to decide on a rom :)
