my original phone lcd quit working after a drop. made an asurion claim and got my replacement yesterday. so now i need to return my original phone to asurion. can i just leave it rooted? because i'm not sure how to un-root w/ the screen not working.

Asurion doesn't give a damn. You could call them and say that you drove over your phone repeatedly on purpose, and as long as you pay your deductible and mail them the pieces, they're happy. They won't care that it's rooted. The phone will be scavenged for usable parts, which will be put into a new case, wiped, and shipped to someone else who files a claim.

Hell, I sent my rooted phone directly back to Verizon (my LCD also stopped working, though mine was for no apparent reason) and they never sent the Grim Reaper after me to harvest my sinning soul.
