    Hi All,

I just got 2.3.3 on my 1 month old Incredible S. Somehow things seem slower. Opening apps, navigating sense etc. One of the most noticable things: My start screen has that standard HTC time/date/weather widget which flips the hour + minute when you wake it up. Now with 2.3.3, the "flipping" is jerky. Everytime.

Has anyone else seen this change? Never saw any slowness like this with 2.1. So what are my options?

    1. Fix?
    2. Rollback to 2.1 is that possible?

    you mean rollback to 2.2.

Have you tried to reboot the phone ? To kill all the unnecessary apps running in the background ?

I have exactly the opposite experience. The phone responds a lot snappier, immediate reactions instead one or two second breaks. Very noticable for example when dragging down the status thingy, which drove me nuts in the past.

Flipping through the home pages, it seems to jump more pixels, that looks a little "jerky", yes, but goes faster. Also, in the application list the scrolling behavior is a little different, it jumps more pixels and scrolls one page at a time...

Well, reboot did fix the problem for a short while. But after a couple of minutes the problem was back. So I decided to reinstall and now the problem seems to be gone for good...

Thanks for your answers and advices!

So your IS had been rooted? If so just use the other ROMs.

Download now available in UK - have just checked mine. Unbranded Incredible S. Has anyone else tested this. I'm looking for feedback on the update from other users before I take the plunge!

    Thanks.

    Try this:

Settings --> Applications --> Development --> USB debugging (put a Check on it).

Worked for my HTC Legend when I updated it from 2.1 and 2.2 and it went back to normal speed.
