is it possible to create a GIF as a live wallpaper. Or is there a way you can disable the wallpaper going across all 7 screens or does the droid 2 have to be rooted in order to do that? .

    Thanks,

You can lock the wallpaper if you are using launcher pro, which does not require root. I am not sure if you can do it with the stock launcher.

I got launcher pro and it's pretty sweet. Is there a way to creat a wallpaper without having to crop it and mess up the picture? Also. can I make a GIF into a 'live wallpaper' ?

    thanks.

    Yes. With a photo editor.

what do you recommend as far as photo editors? Can you use microsoft paint? What size does the background have to be and / or what pixel size does it have to be.

Android stretches the wallpaper across all seven home screens. That's why you only get a section of it on each screen. There's really no way around this.

But if you use a home replacement like launcherpro, you can lock the wallpaper.
