I really dont like the Keyboard that comes with EB01 is there a link anywhere on here that will show me if there is a different keyboard.

Which rom are you on? I'm on superclean and it came with 3 keyboards:Swype, Android and Samsung.

In addition I have the gingerbread keyboard
Lifehacker, tips and downloads for getting things done

And also, better keyboard from the market.

Ok, if you like the gingerbread keyboard here is a link to some really nice themed ones. They install like an app through your file manager, ie. Astro.

I was thinking of doing that with my phone as well, I've got a black on blue gb style keyboard zip from one of the PE themes for the D1 i'm considering trying.

I recommend Swype - one of the best keyboard I've ever used.

However, there's another choice is DioPen Handwriting & Keyboard. It includes SUPERTYPE which is originally from Blackberry.

Different in what way? If you mean themed ones, they are available now by installing an .APk and also by metamorping. If this is what u meant let me know and I will provide u with links when I get to my computer.

i'm torn between paying for swiftkey, better keyboard, and smart keyboard pro =/

trying to swiftkey trial now. tried the smart keyboard one too. I do like how I can change the was smart keyboard looks, but i've heard good things about swiftkey

grr yeah i know it's only a few $$, but it still feels like an important choice to make. Too many apps that I hardly use after paying some money for them.

2 tips for smart keyboard:

1. Make sure you calibrate the keyboard under general settings. Makes a big difference in accuracy.

2. Eliminate the period and comma keys to make the spacebar larger. I find that missing the spacebar is usually the cause of my typing mistakes.

Thanks for the tips. I ended up going with SwiftKey. So far I'm loving it, though there is a slight learning curve. Not really 100% with it yet, but I'll get there. =D

Update us with a review or at least impressions soon, if you can. I liked SwiftKey on my trial, and the reviews speak for themselves. However, I could not help myself from mistyping with such a small spacebar. However, I love it in portrait mode. I would use it in portrait only with keyboard manager but it is the only keyboard that causes keyboard manager force close issues.
