Hmm.... If you consider the s7 old, then you might not be happy with any phone you buy today in a few months time...

Also worth remembering that forums get a lot of traffic from people who have trouble with their devices.. It's unusual for someone to post of a forum saying that they aren't having a problem with a device

    Define better....

It means different things to different people
Try the devices out and pick up the one you like best

AFAIK the main reason that Samsung used Snapdragon rather than their own Exynos was for CDMA/EVDO network compatibility in China, Japan and the US. So if you're not in those countries, it's irrelevant. S7 and S7 Edge has Exynos elsewhere.

I absolutely love this phone - best I've had since my first Android 5 years ago (HTC OneX). It's fast, reliable, and everything just plain WORKS. I've had a couple of issues with occasional power drains which appear to be linked to the FB app according to reports, so I can't really blame the phone for that.

Not sure what you're looking for - or why you've read bad reviews - but I'm extremely happy with mine!

PS Just looked at comments at gsmarena - most of the "negative" ones I saw were along the lines of "it's not a Samsung"or, "I don't have one but...".

FWIW, I got mine on November 2nd, and it's still performing like a beast.
