Hi I'm new to this but want to learn about my device. My ex girlfriend set up a gmail account which linked my fone her fone and her sons fone also her tablet. My fone is a samsung galaxy mini gt-s5570, what I would like to know is what information she could gain from our devices being linked. We all had the same password so could she of viewed the txts I received on my fone on hers, also could she view my google searches on her tablet or device??

Hello and welcome to Android Forums!

Once multiple devices are linked to the same Google account, you share a good deal of information. SMS messages, however, are not part of the gmail account (unless you are using an app to back up the text messages to the account.)

What she and you will both be able to see are gmail sent to and from that account, recent search parameters, assuming you don't have that feature turned off. Contacts sync'ed to the account. Location data (Google's find my phone feature), and probably a few other things that I can't think of at the moment.

What she shouldn't be able to see is a call history or text messages.

I'd recommend you perform a factory data reset and re-register the phone to your own unique gmail account.

Yes and no. Yes, she could, using the play store set those apps to install. But, no, not without your knowledge. There would be a notification that the app was installed and if you don't want it, simply uninstall it. Still, it's best if you simply reset the phone and then you won't have to worry about it. (backup all your texts and photos first!)

Hi again I have every intension of following your advice, before I do for my own curiousity could you let me know a couple more things please. A couple of apps I have which I don't recall installing are social hub samsung apps and quick office. Would any of these apps allow her access to view my txt messages via her device or tablet. Thanks for your kind help.

Not sure about the social hub apps, but I doubt it. These sound like stock apps from Samsung. If you didn't sign up for any of those services they don't do anything but bother people by being there.

    Welcome to the forums :)

If she has your messages set up to forward it sounds like you need to go into your carrier store and check out your account settings. They will be able to unforward devices on your account.

Otherwise, there shouldn't be an application already on your device that has your messages forwarding to her.
