Wanting to go 4G, yet need some advice

Hey guys, I am really wanting to go Thunderbolt because I have a Blackberry now and am wanting an Android. However, I am not in a 4G area and I highly doubt it won't be available for me until later on because I am in a rural area. Has Verizon said there will be increased data charges on 4G smartphones? Just curious because if there is increased data charges, there is no reason for me to get a 4G smartphone and pay increased data charges when I won't even be able to use it.

There's no "official" word, but the retention specialist insisted that there'd be no difference in price. We'll see.
