General wanting to root eris

    I have an HTC Eris.2.1
    Desirec....... Eris

    I went to unrevoked.com. and chose the Desirec pic. I got a no app to read dwnld. Message

    How do I root this phone ?

    Unrelated question: can I use a SD card with more than 2g?
    I tried an 8 but couldn't get phone to recognize. U unmounted

    I looked in that section. Found nothing but " download unrevoked" . If this question needs to be posted elsewhere. Pls do so.

    Nobody's been able to prove that unrevoked works on the eris. People have asked about it, but nobody has said they've tried it.

    That's why I posted the other link. What OS are you running exactly? Post the numbers from your settings screen.

    Hope this is what u need. I tried long hold but didn't receive the copy menu. Can this be done a diff. Way?

    Ok you are either OTA or Leakv3 either way, the link on the XDA forum will work for you. Also remember to flash the engineering bootloader so you in theory should not have to worry about being able to restore root if it goes away.
