Support Washed Out Display

    ive been using the galaxy s2 for a couple of months, its been quite impressive so far....

    but suddenly something's got me really worried.... the display seems to be washed out..... almost like how pictures look when they are over-exposed....

    i immediately tried tweaking the display settings, but everything seems alright...

    has anybody encountered a similar problem ? any likely solutions ?

    I know you said you tried tweaking the display settings, but what did you try? Did you try Menu > settings > display > background effect and try out the different options there?

    They change the way stuff is displayed on the screen, so if the screen looks strange with all three of those options, you should have it replaced.

    thanks ajay. have already spoken to my local vendor. just trying to back up my data using kies, but have read some not so encouraging reviews about kies. just hoping that i dont lose any data.

    hey matttye,

    did all of that.... brightness settings, background settings, power saver settings...... didnt work.

    my phone vendor's quite helpful, im sure he'll take it up with the samsung guys and get it sorted.
