Watch Face Wednesday

One can NEVER go wrong with Frosty

"Frosty is merely a bit of frozen, supernatural ephemera in a stolen hat."

Another HuatchfaceWednesday , another simple face - though this time quite a bit more elegant than last week's!

This is the Slate watch face from Josh Stagg Software. It's a very simple face, but executed so well that its simplicity becomes quite interesting. It has an attractive subtly-textured background, white hour and minutes hands with a slight shadow effect that really makes them pop, and a number of different color options for the second hand pulled straight from the Material color palette.

Not sure whether to post here or start another thread called "Lame watch face Wednesday". ;) I installed the OneDrive app on my Nexus 6 and it not only installed a Microsoft (ugly-as-sh*t) watch face, but it made it active without asking. o_O

Don't worry. It will update and reboot whenever you want to check the time.

For today's #HuatchfaceWednesday, I'd like to present this CueLock face for WatchMaker.

I will admit that it's not all that easy to read, but I'm really enjoying the design. It features a few different color schemes, a nice dimmed mode, an entertaining seconds view, and even a weather display.

I actually did a slight mod to it in order to make the default background black, and the other color highlight scheme a bit more uniform. You can find my modified version here (all credit to the original author though!):https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B046UrEgTGGNeENKX1B4S3BpaTQ

Happy #HuatchfaceWednesday!

I'm doing a bit of a throwback today to one of the first faces I purchased - you may recognize it. It's the Odyssey Watch Face from Zuhanden / +Hans Koenig!

Odyssey blends an attractive futuristic look with practical readability, looking fantastic while providing you with the information you need to get through your day at a single glance. It's easy to see why this face is one of my long-running favorites.

It also just (yesterday) received an update to add a few additional configurable options - so if you haven't checked it out in a while, now would be a great time to revisit.

Find it here on the Play Store:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=co.smartwatchface.odyssey.watch.face

While you're at it, be sure to check out some of Zuhanden's other faces. They're pretty much all worth having:

Hump day is still half a week away, but I wanted to share this group of watch faces:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.weareal.live

This dev does really neat animated light reflection tricks. All of the faces are free except Airpower, which has lots of moving gears. It costs $0.99, but worth every penny.

LED watchfaces have been done before, but I don't think I've seen one done this well.

For this #HuatchfaceWednesday (and actually a few days now), I'm wearing the aptly-named Real LED Watchface by @marcotronic . What sets this face apart is its realistic lighting and shadow effects. The LEDs aren't just flat glowing circles - they both cast light and block light. The result is pretty impressive.

It's currently a bit light (or completely absent) on customization, but the developer says new ambient mode and color options will be arriving within the next week or so.
