Help watching films thru HDMI

Little thing but when you connect HDMI and start watching a film its so annoying that you cant turn off the screen.

We all know this phone is a bit of an animal with the battery. but you have to have the screen on whilst its plugged in or it disconnects.

Are they going to sort this out its quite annoying, i can probably watch 2 full films from battery full before i start getting low

If its any consolation, Galaxy Note and Tabs are like that too

I don't understand why though, if you are watching it on the telly, why would you want to watch it on the phone too!
