Help Watching videos on my G2?

I noticed that my T-mobile G2 came with a default music player but not a video player. Does this mean i have to download a seperate video player app? or what?

I believe the "gallery" app can play videos. Though there are alternate video players out there if you prefer them.

I am having problems with the movies too. Most of my videos are .avi and I've found a program called vplayer alpha, and I dont really like it. Can anyone recommend a good video player.
