Wav File Transfer Not Working

I am trying to transfer wav files to my sd card to listen to music, but when i do i lose info like the song title, artist title, year, and other things. Is there a way i can transfer files without losing this info? Thank You.

How are you transferring them?

Im just copying and pasting them, with the sd card in the phone.
