As the title says, we might be getting it pretty soon.

The latest Android Revolution Custom Rom is built on Sense 3.0 on Android 2.3.5 with the leaked software version is 3.06.405.1.

Good on HTC for support this phone. Lets hope it continues through to ICS

I have sense 3.5 on my DHD. Apparently 3.5 will be coming to the DHD officially. We shall wait and see.

I believe it's under Settings >> About Phone, but you'll have 2.0 or 2.1 depending on how up to date your firmware is.

The new Sense 3.0 ROM seems very stable... the only problem is the 720p video playback which has plagued all Sense 3.0 ROMS...

Sense 3.0, or variations of it, has been available for several months now with the custom roms - so there's no reason to believe that v3.5 wont similarly appear on future custom roms. Just another reason to root your phone. :)

This is still good news for everyone though - a custom rom based on official firmware is always a better base for developers than a port :)

That does look quite nice. I may give the new ARHD a whirl to see what Sense 3.0 is all about at least.

As an aside, the Runnymede (although it may end up being the Thunderbolt 2)? HTC seem to be running out of good names, I'm sure another of their rumoured handsets is called the Holiday...
