Root wee bit of advice.

hi all.i have a desire i wish to root.i have version 2.1 stock and understand that unrevoked 3.14 might be the best option.thing is i cannot find this version,it allways brings up 3.21 which i don't think will work.is there a better way to go about this? thanks in advance.

edit:i use a mac.

That is the latest version, personally i know of no reason it should not work.
Download it from the link in the post below.

The unrevoked method is the easiest one around, also i can say you will enjoy the full potential of your phone once rooted.

Be aware that you root at your own risk.

3.21 is not recommended if 3.14 works...

thanks for the help and for the link.earlier i did try the newest version and it detected my phone but then some unreadable chinese type character letters came up and nothing else really happened.
