Hello eveyone, i hope you can help me with an issue. just recently whenever i plug in my headphones, my phone automatically unlocks. Is there a way to disable this in the settings? i've tried looking in the lock screen options, but couldn't find anything. I am running android version 4.1.2.

By "unlocks" do you mean it bypasses the simple swipe-to-unlock screen?

Hi Puppa, thanks for replying. yes, that is exactly what happens. i'm used to plugging in my headphones then swiping, but now i end up plugging in my headhones and opening an app or moving icons because i forget it automatically unlocks. i know its petty and i'm sure i'll get used to it, but i just wanted to check.

Lock stays for me, but I use a PIN. You could turn off Page Buddy in display settings and that ought to take care of it.
