Weird screen damage.

So our daughter closed my wife's m9 in the changing table in the women's room at Menchies. The tempered glass broke all across the top but the screen itself doesn't have a crack. Tempered glass did it's job there. But it appears that the pressure may have messed up the digitizer or something. When she turned it on the screen is jumping around really fast and not responding to touch. Can anyone think of an easy fix before I call the number for the free replacement? We were really hoping to wait more than six months to use that option.

Probably not. You could try a reboot, just in case, but if it's even the simplest mechanical damage you won't be able to fix it without opening the phone up, and it's really hard to say at this remove what sort of damage it might be.

That's what I thought. But oh well. Least she gets the one free replacement.

Replacing the screen on a M9 appears to be a really labor intensive and complicated process. Good that you're still covered by some kind of warranty.
