Was not happy with the video performance on my 4.4 kitkat Nexus 7. I pay 100 euro to be able to watch MotoGP motorcycle racing every year, and it wouldn't stream smoothly. I reverted to 4.3, and video is smooth as silk...

Depends on how you stream. Some older apps have not been optimized for KitKat. KitKat was designed to be smoother, hence project butter. It also depends on how you connect to internet. I could never downgrade. The sheer number of system wide enhancements, not to mention security updates is a must for me.
