Woke up and had no 3 or 4g service on my Charge. I usually have full 4g service. Rebooted the phone, no go. Battery pull, reboot no go. Called verison and a rep tried to get it working for 15 minutes until he moved me to a "specialist" who proceded to go through every option you can think of including resetting the sim card and facory wiping the phone. Told me to go to the store and they would replace it. Now I am getting kind of ticked because not only are all my apps, widgets, settings, messages etc gone but I just laid down $35 bucks to have ghost amor put on. About an hour later I pull out of the driveway at work and have to make a call (voice was working all along) and find out my 3g is back up. Drive back to the store and 4g is working. I called a few minutes ago to find out about when the mobile hotspot was going to be working (ota push to come friday or monday according to VZ for what that is worth) and find out that there was a major outage in my zone this morning. Sure would have been nice to know before I wiped my phone and spent and hour and a half trying to figure out why I had no 3 or 4g. At least I did not swap my phone out and lose my ghost amror. There are so many glitches with this new system I have to believe motorola, or any manufacturer would be crazy to make phones for any of the 4g networks. I wanted to switch back to my droid x until i got to the store but if you switch from the charge to a standard 3g phone it requires a new sim card every time. Who designed that system? Anyway enough of my rant.
