What a moron. He's iPhone biased, and is trying to discredit Samsung and Android.

He stopped the test as soon as the media scanner stopped running. I call scam.

But the video does illustrate one thing - due to media scanner running a complete scan every boot up, Galaxy S has a ridiculous start up time of almost 2 minutes (including complete media scan). iPhone4 has a startup of just 39 seconds.

iPhone 4 loads in 49 seconds (or was it 39 seconds?). There are plenty of videos proving this on youtube.

The main problem with Galaxy is that it does a complete scan every single time the phone is turned on, which is necesary because you can add files to the SD card while the phone is turned off. On an iPhone however, you can only add files when connected to iTunes, meaning that the phone doesn't have to recompile the file list every single time. Quite a siginificant advantage if you turn your phone on and off all the time. In regard to this (startup time), the Galaxy S does lose by a large margin.

What a complete buffoon. He's the type of moron I see that is trying to open up all sorts of stuff on his desktop AS SOON as he sees the desktop come up after a reboot. Then when things take a while to load he immediately starts bitching about how the computer is too slow, has a virus, Windows sucks, etc. No, just an ID10T error pal.

Why anyone would ever try what he did while the media scanner is running is beyond me.

The Epic 4G has an even faster boot up:

YouTube - Samsung Epic 4G for Sprint - Unboxing

On most of the unboxing boot ups I've seen of the Epic, usually it takes about 20 seconds to boot up from a cold boot. SWEET! It takes my Moment quite a long moment (3-4 minutes) to finally boot up. It would only be about 2 minutes if it didn't restart after the first boot :(

Can't wait to see how fast my Epic boots up Tuesday morning. Of course it will probably take longer once all my files are loaded into the phone so I guess we'll see...

I watched a couple of reviews by the same guy on some other products and he is just as stupid in those. This guy should have been interviewed before he got that job because he obviously doesn't know sh** about technology.
