I have both the 3000 and 3500 mAh batteries. I bought a wall charger and charge one at night while the other is in my phone, charging via the USB. When I get up in the morning (between 4:30-5am), I unplug everything and switch batteries.

By the time I take the dogs out, play a few hands of scrabble (maybe 10 minutes at most), take a shower, get dressed, make my lunch and leave for school (I'm a school teacher), maybe listen to a few songs via car jack, I'm down to about 80% in 3 hours.

Surely there is something going on that I am not doing?

    Any ideas?

Thanks my fellow Droiders for your help!

You have scrabble for android? Please show me where to get it!
Honestly it sounds like you are using the phone and thus the battery is draining. Have you conditioned the batteries? Have you tried using an external charger? Have you gone through the battery tips and tricks thread and the how to keep from draining 15% immediately threads?

Sorry .. not Scrabble the game per se, but WordFeud and I also have WordWise which is the same thing.

The problem is that I am not using the phone all that often. I'm a high school teacher and coach, so I don't use my phone during the day - maybe a total of 10 minutes during my lunch/planning to check email, send texts, call my beautiful wife or to play some scrabble or angry birds. By the time I hit 3:30 and put my sound back on, I am in the 70% range.

I started using an external charger the last few days, but haven't really noticed a difference. And yes, I have been through the 15% battery threads - I even subscribe to it.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!

if your phone is set to refresh email etc..and you aren't leaving 4g or wifi on...basically if you have done everything in those threads it sounds pretty normal to me.

what are you up vs awake times?

have you checked spare parts for partial wake?

menu.settings.aboutphone.battery.what has been using the battery.press android anything unusual listed near the top of the list? also check cell standby...what is your time without signal

do you have any photo apps set to auto upload pics?

check apps for apps that upload data.

all of this is listed in the battery tips and tricks so most likely you have gone through it.

the ONLY way I have got my phone to a point that it does not drain when off is to use very specific settings in ATK and setpcu.

oh and i'll check out wordwise...not a fan of wordfeud as there is no computer opponent mode :(

    bleh..looks like wordwise doesn't either.

HEYYYYYY...actually...try uninstalling wordfeud. I was having drain issues back when I had that. Make sure you are not leaving sessions open in those two games...go to manage apps in the settings menu and forceclose them when you are done
