Hi I'm New to This site and was wondering what Android Phones have you had previously and how long did you have them for?
I myself am a massive fan of Samsung

My Android Phones are as follows

Samsung Galaxy Mini. (August 2011 - September 2013) - this was my first Android phone It was an ok phone at the time but compared to today's phones was terrible battery life was poor but it was the same on any phone back then.

Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini (September 2013 - August 2015) - As soon as I first saw this phone and held it I knew I wanted this as my next phone the S3 was just too big and expensive for me at the time in the 2 years since I had my original galaxy mini.
Smartphones had come a long way there was a lot newer fresher versions of Android out there so around July 2013 I started making plans To save up buy this phone and when I finally got it I fell in love with it straight away. Everything was so much better and faster than my last phone and the battery life was excellent. I loved it so much of have kept it as a spare backup phone

Samsung Galaxy A3 (August 2015 - Present) - Again this is such a Step up from my S3 mini everything about it is brilliant especially the build quality and design another fantastic phone from Samsung Battery life is beyond anything I expected and I Plan to try and keep this phone for 3 years rather than 2 however I will see what's on the market in a year's time and decide then.

Welcome to our AndroidForums, @HaleR93 and thanks for a great first post :).

Here are my Android devices, in "descending" order (newer/current to older):

    Huawei Nexus 6P (current)
    LG Nexus 5
Asus Nexus 7 (2012) tablet (current)
    Samsung Galaxy Nexus
    Motorola Xoom tablet
    Moto Droid X (July 2010)
    HTC Droid Eris (November 2009)

I still have all of them and they all still work just great (my son has the Xoom right now). The non-current ones serve as test devices from time to time.

    Cheers!

Oh I forgot. Also have a Galaxy V. For use in work. :p. Yeah, always used a Samsung. Mainly because they are what my carrier offers.

No desire for GS5 and have to change all my chargers for not much of an upgrade.
Definitely no desire for GS6 and lose both external storage and changeable battery.
They gave us external storage back on the GS7 but I still also want a changeable battery as I tend to hold onto devices long enough that the original battery starts to diminish and needs to be replaced.

Just curious as to how fast you run down batteries. My 2 year old Note 2 is still using the original battery. It can last through the day on moderate use still, but I admit it's not as long as it used to be.

I started on my first tablet, a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0. My first smartphone was a LG Optimus S. I kept it for about a year, before moving onto a Motorola MOTO E. I wasn't ready yet to spend the big bucks for a phone. lol.
My next tablet and current one is a Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 and my newest and current smartphone is an LG G4, which I dearly love.
My wife also had an Optimus S and she recently got a Samsung Galaxy S5, which is very happy with as well.

After about a year of usage I started noticing that my battery was draining faster than I wanted on a more regular basis. Bought a new battery to replace my old and that took care of the problem. If I buy an external charger I can still use the old battery and carry a charged spare.

I don't churn phones often, so for Androids just HTC Desire (2010), HTC One (M7, 2013). Plus a Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) tablet, but that's not a phone.

Probably in the market for something this year, if something I like and which meets my requirements comes out.

I thought my Oppo R7 Plus was broken this morning. The screen was flashing on and off wildly, kept on going to the lock-screen all by itself, and definitely misbehaving. I've only had that phone for 7 months. Fortunately an FDR, and restore seems to have put it right, for today at least, see how it goes. Fortunately Oppo does have local while-you-wait service and repair offices, and it is under warranty still. :)

LOL. More of the choice that my carrier offers me for free are Samsung and iPhone. There's an occasional LG but not really a fan of it. I may consider an HTC, but they're not big in my country. The Lenovos they offer are pretty low end.

While my Phones have come from HTC, LG, Samsung & Motorola, except for a brief flirtation with a Galaxy S2 they have all been Nexus ... Nexuses ... Nexii ... whatever. ;)
