I'm looking at buying my first smart phone.
Tough call as they haven't all been announced. Europe is getting the HTC Sensation XE. Sprint (Evo 3D) and T-Mobile (Sensation 4G) got variants of the original Sensation, which makes it more unlikely for them to carry the XE. Verizon is getting a version of the XE rumored to be called the Vigor or Incredible HD.
Google's next Nexus is rumored to be coming before Christmas on most carriers, with Verizon rumored as getting the first one (though likely a locked down version). Every carrier except Verizon is getting a Galaxy SII variant. The Droid Bionic just launched on Verizon. So, these are the best known choices at this time.
The Motorola Photon (Sprint) and Atrix (AT&T) as well as the aformentioned Sensation variants, while a bit older, are still outstanding choices that are available today.
