what are these files & directories? can they be deleted?

    can I delete these.. anyone know?

    on phone

    /cache/ has about 20+ different "downloadfile.jpeg" and "downloadfile.apk" files? can I kill all of these off?

    /sdcard

    ._.TemporaryItems (dated feb 10th) - can I delete?
    ._.Trashes (dated feb 9th) - can I delete?
    ._[] (dated feb 11th) - can I delete?

    deleted the /sdcard items with no issues after backing them up

    I think each represents a download and can be renamed or deleted, i will have to check later.

    I have the download apks on my SD Card as well. I usually plug my phone in to the computer, highlight all the apks, and delete them every so often. Its never caused an issue for me. I'm not saying there won't be an issue, but I have never had one.

    Oh man.. yeah, I backup to my computer all the time. weekly.

    BUT.. the ones on the phone in /cache/ cannot be gotten to via attaching to the computer. I could "zip" them and move the zip to the SD card and back it up and then delete and see what happens. it seems like junk since (1) it is cache and (2) they are just incremental apks and images with no rhyme or reason. also curious just where they came from
