House of the Seven Gables - Nathaniel Hawthorne.
starting waylander 2 by David Gemmell from the Drenai series, good series so far.
Motley Crue - The Dirt.
About to start Flashback by Dan Simmons. I really like Simmons, but it's gotten some mixed reviews, so we'll see...
Miss that series, lol. All the books were great imo. Was hard transitioning from one book to the other though
Currently reading a docubook about 9/11. Very interesting
Just started "Far From the Madding Crowd" by Hardy. So far I like it, but on these audio books it makes a difference who is reading it.
Has anyone else read "The Faithful Spy" by Alex Berenson? I think it would make a good movie, but can't decide who should play the main character. Clooney?
@nightangel re drenai
its true about the order of the books being completely off. I got all the way up through the second waylander book and was kind of pissed off at the jumping back and forth through time so I looked up the wiki on gemmell and found a chronilogical order to the books vs the published order and started reading them that way. much less frustrating that way.
currently reading book 7 of the drenai i think, legend of deathwalker.
Yea, that order is Borked! Think Gemmel did that on purpose just to screw with people, lol.
Awesome book that is, anything Druss for real
Started the Night Angel trilogy. It took me about 10 chapters (short as they are) to get used to the writing style and the setting but now I'm calibrated I'm beginning to get drawn in to the story.
Just wait.... it just keeps getting better
And better and better
What you reading these days xyro?
Kinda fell out of the habit in the last few months. I ought to start taking my kindle to work...
What about you?
What were you reading, you finish a series before you stopped?
Kinda same boat as you. Been struggling to finish this Lord of the Isles series.... been on same book for over a month.
Nah. I'm still working my way through the sword of truth series. I'll read like half a book and then leave it for a few months.
i dont know how you could do that, i read all 13 in like 6 weeks. I just couldnt help myself. I wish i could of drawn it out longer, i really do...
Almost ready to re-read them. Which book you on?
I can't remember
Told you it had been a while.
drenai was bad a$$, that is all...
thinking about reading the mazalan series (sp? lol)... heard good and bad things about them, mainly the authors writing style.
Metro 2033 as my main and sort of reading Uriels Machine.
I'm so disappointed in you woop
you finish all the denai? that WAS a really awesome world.... Druss Skilgannon Waylander.....
Yeah that was an amazing world and amazing characters.
I spelled it wrong, its Malazan, book of the fallen, and its written by Steven Erikson. First book so far is pretty slow to get into for me, I've heard book one was like this and the other books are much easier to read, lol...
I haven't read the it myself, but Malazan, Book of the Fallen has this weird forum where people post short stories and I think it's got something to do with the books.
