I rooted my nook just recently and I would love to know what applications you installed that works well with rooted NC, or some applications you can't live without. Be it productivity apps, to launchers, games, etc.

Here are some of the installed apps I use:

    1. ADW launcher (I installed GO Launcher but it gets laggy I had to remove it again together with the other GO apps that runs in the background, any other launcher suggestions are welcome)

    2. Avast! Mobile Security

    3. Astrid to-do list

    4. Aldiko Book Reader

    5. Kingsoft Office

    6. Dictionary 3.1

    7. Google Maps and Google Sky Map

    8. Chatting apps (YM and Skype)

    9. Games - Angry birds, cut the rope, scramble free, temple run

    10. Opera Mini (I use this if I just prefer to read texts from the internet)

I didn't get to install much yet, but any suggestions are welcome! :D

Most apps that are compatible work well. Watch out for games that depend on multitouch, since it only supports 2 point touch.

My go-to apps on all my device homescreens are:
    • Mantano Reader Premium (using their Cloud service to sync between 4 devices)
    • My6Sense news aggregator (it tunes nicely to your tastes)
    • Netflix
    • HBO Go
    • Max Go (when it feels like working)
    • Enhanced Email (integrates Exchange corporate email into native Android apps rather than a separate bloaty suite)
    • Astrid Tasks
    • TripIt
    • Dropsync (automatic sync of daily news from Calibre on desktop)
    • ES File Explorer (for integration of Dropbox, other cloud file services)
    • Evernote
    • Swiftkey Tablet
    • Executive Assistant with todo addon (for Astrid)
    Other apps I use regularly:
    • Clocksync (for automatic timezone update when travelling)
    • ComicRack (for old magazines in .cbr/.cbz format)
    • Documents to Go (for MS Office files)
    • Gentle alarm (I use it on my phone, but works fine on tablet)
    • Wifi Web Login (to learn and auto-play connect sequences)
    • Wifi Manager (for quick checking of available wifi options)
    • Google Voice (for SMS and checking voicemail)
I wound up in the hospital for a week after flying home on a trip, only to find that my laptop screen was shattered. My little rooted NC kept me in touch with the office and able to work (slowly) the entire time with these tools.

I've got a lot of other crap on there for entertainment, but these are the main ones that see regular use.
