I just came from the HTC Hero (rooted) to the EVO 3D and damn this phone is FAST!!!

Wow what a difference, I almost swapped out for the EVO 4G and seen this one was coming out and I am damn glad I did.

even with all the Sprint Bloat ware on here this thing is screaming fast!

so many things this phone will do that the hero wouldn't. just looking to see if you can point out some new features for me

For starters some of the Sprint Bloatware can be uninstalled now, like Nascar etc...

I am in love with the weather animations, and the more informative weather widget overall. 5 day outlook with hour by hour prediction. Nice. No need for weather bug anymore.

Yeah, I like the weather animations and also having the weather on your lock screen when it's raining or night time.

How about Media Share app? I was able to play everything from 3VO on my PS3 over WiFi. I upgraded from EVO 4G and I don't think 4G had that.

The sound options on the phone is what made me go from hating it to loving it, not the back speaker which is miserable. In call volume is awesome, by far one of the loudest phones ever. The ability to change the bass, preset equalizer options, is the best thing about the phone. The 3d is kind of gimmicky, it does work but after a few hours you really do get bored with it.

I hate the screen though, even on the brightest days, it is really too dim and the contrast is just all messed up. But you do get used to it.

Will I keep it? I think I will, still going to get the photon, but this is a good replacement for when I am in the states.

    There is several locations. But...

open the default music player. Up in the right hand corner is something that looks like this (((*))).

That brings up "sound enhancer". You can then change it to
"srs enhancement" and for "head phones only, equalizer".

You can also hit the "menu" and "sound enhancer".

    Sorry, about that evo max.

My favorite "show off" features are the 3D and "Voice Search" system. Those seem to be the two features that when I show people they go "Whoa... that's awesome"

    Edit: Wow, 600 posts already?

The EQ and sound enhancer only effect the stock music player or all of the output?

With the Hero to 3vo upgrade you really get to see the advances Android and Sense have made in the past two years. It's like night and day.

Actually the thing I'm most impressed with is Sense's ability to link all of my Google contacts with their Facebook and LinkedIn profiles. Very handy :)

Oh man!! I was at the bar tonight. I saw someone I haven't seen in ages. Well he put on a ton of weight. I told the bartender, "It's a good thing I have two lens to take his picture if I wanted to. A wide angle lens wouldn't do him any good." We both got a good laugh out of that. LOL :D
    I know them both.

I had the Hero also. I always thought it just got stumped on what I wanted it to do. It's nice now to be able to jump around a video clip without it locking up. Move a web page around before it's done loading. Don't forget now we have full flash. The Hero was nice when it came out. I loved being abloe to do the many different things with it. I don't do many calls. Hey, now maybe I can find out what all the fuss is about Angry Birds! LOL Then the the Droid hit!! It became the forgotten Hero.

As far as the speaker goes on the EVO 3D, it's hit & miss, some things sound fine, others are too low on the volume.

Would this work with the new xbox 360? It has WiFi

I downloaded an app called Twonky and it allowed me to view pictures, videos, and play my music wireless through my xbox. I tried to use the HTC media share app, the xbox recognized it but it says it was possibly blocked by a firewall. Not sure why Twonky would play through fine, but not the HTC media share.

Twonky would not play the 3gp or mp4 videos however. But it did play other videos I downloaded off sites such as YouTube.

Quick question about Voice Search; are you saying it actually works on the Evo 3D?

I have a Desire and every time I try a voice action it simply searches the web, when according to Google I should be able to send emails, texts, listen to music, search a map, etc, etc, but every time I say "send text to [name]" all I get is a search result.

When you stream stuff to the PS3, can you stream your HD videos and photos?
