Do we have a sense yet of what kind of display to expect from the Droid2? If it is comparable in sharpness to the X, I would go with the X, more like the Ipod, I would go with the 2 (and wait until it comes out).

I was gunna call shenanagans, cuz the 15th is on a sunday! :p

As for the resolution of the droid 2, the resolution is floating around the net on at least one of the leaked screens.

From what Saw it is the same 3.7 in screen and the same 480x854 resolution as the original droid...expect it to be slightly sharper and a little better color and contrast...but probably not enough to notice.

It's 3.7" and it's 480x854 so sharpness will be exactly the same. However, colors could be better (the Droid 1 actually had very accurate colors) and viewing angles might be improved.

And that very chart shows the same resolution for the original Droid and the Droid X. That chart doesn't show brightness, contrast, gamut and so on so the display could well reflect several improvements, but it at least appears that it will be the same resolution as the display on the original Droid.

I'd like to see 1280x720 native displays to match the 720p recording and playback capabilities and maybe we will see those in future models.
