    Best Buy just called me and said that there was a droid incredible available. I ordered through vzw about 3 days ago. Don't know what to do??

    Cancel my order through vzw and buy through Best buy or wait more than 2 weeks for my phone?!? Btw, the billing cycle would overlap twice for me with my current ATT bill and with VZW.

    Up to you. If you want it bad do it if not wait. Love the phone but not sure how much hassle I would go through to get it early.

    Verizon has them in the warehouse ... so I'd assume that if you ordered it on Thursday evening ( 3 days ago ) that it will be shipped "overnight" but they don't deliver on the weekend, ergo - it will be delivered on Monday.

    Do you really have that little of patience that you can't wait until Monday?

    You won't be able to just "cancel" the order from Verizon, you'll need to refuse the shipment and wait a few weeks for it to credit your account. If it was me, I'd just wait for the one from Verizon, but then I hate best Buy so I'm biased! LOL

    Where are you getting your info from? They've been on backorder for a while, my estimated date is July 28th.

    There's a difference between 3 days and 3 weeks.

    I ordered mine yesterday and they said they were planning to have all back orders filled by June 24, perhaps sooner. I would wait, kick back in anticipation, and love it when it comes. Don't be monkeying around with returns for merely a few days difference, IMO.

    Agreed. You cant just cancel your Verizon order, it's a lengthy process. Just wait it out. We will do our best to entertain you in the meantime :D

    You may still be able to cancel your order. I would call verizon and tell them you want to cancel the order. See what happens. I was in the same situation. I was able to cancel my order 3 days after I ordered it, but when i called at day 5 it was too late. I just refused the package. No big deal. I would not trust any CSRs who tell you they are going to have all of the orders filled by the end of the week.

    Honestly, if I were you I would just wait.. Kind of a lot of money to be held up and waiting on a refund ( just my .02). I received my Incredible 3 days ahead of the estimated ship date. As of right now it seems they are still ahead. I know its hard to be patient and all but this smartphone is defiantly worth the wait... Good luck with your decision.

    Well, not to go into any details ... I've got another one on the way for an order that was placed on Thursday night ( 6/11 ) at the Verizon store to be delivered on Monday ( 6/14 ). It's a replacement, but nevertheless ... they are in stock in the warehouse.

    If you look at that screenshot of the tracking closely, you will notice that the package being shipped is only 1lb/0.5 kg in weight, I can tell you that it will be a Reburb without battery, a I had one shipped to, and sent it back, asked for a Retail cos I was in my 30 days, they are sending another.

    Reason I know this is the 1st retail box that was sent out was 2lb/1kg with everything in it. but the refurb that they send is without battery and cover and all the extras and is only 1lb/0.5 kg's .


    Just letting yo know they are sending you a brown box refurb, Hence why it shipped instantly and its overnight.

    Yeah, I noticed that also and that's an extremely valid point ... but I was assured that it would be a new one. If it's not, then it will go straight to the Verizon store to be shown and questioned. The rep said that they don't even have enough to have refurbished ones to give. I know, I know ... a "rep" said it. :rolleyes: We'll see. I'm not too awful worried about it either way.

    This is exactly what happened. My apologies to the OP, as I was under the impression that new DIs were in stock in the warehouse and being shipped out despite all the pushed back dates.

    I took it straight back to the Verizon store and the employee tried to backtrack on what was said. Heh. Not this time, buddy.

    I'd still like to know the answer to this if it's possible.

    I was in the same boat sort of, I picked up my DINC on the 30th at BB after ordering one from VZ on the 18th because I couldn't wait till the 7th, well turns out I would've had to only wait 3 more days. While its not a huge deal to refuse shipment and wait for a refund it can get annoying when you talk to CS more than once about stuff. I'm still waiting for my refund and it will be 2 weeks since I refused shipment.

    The bottom line is its up to you and if you can hold out. You have a longer wait than I did but I wish I would've just waited the 3 days.

    they are overnighting me one tonight. I had a screen issue within the first 30 days, but they didn't have a new one to replace it with. So after 3 weeks i decided to ask the lady on the phone she looked for about 5 minutes and said she found a NEW one. Being skeptical I called back a few hours later to "confirm the shipping address" and again was told it is a new one. I guess I'll know tomorrow!

    use the device you got from best buy... that is until you get the one from verizon.. and then return the device back to best buy (within 30 days)..

    you can't simply cancel thru verizon.. you have to refuse shipping etc etc.. which is a long process..

    I went ahead and bought the phone through BB. Verizon said even though the phone wasn't going to ship until the end of the month, I can't cancel it. Order is already closed, so I'm going to have to refuse shipping and wait through that. BB person wasn't very good at explaining stuff either... Dunno if my activation fee was waived.

    Anyway, liking the phone so far. Was thinking about doing what kriskmk suggested, but eh... seems like a bit of a hassle. I have done such a thing before with best buy because of their return policy. I have no guilt... They charge so much money for stupid things like installing a playstation 3 (lol connecting cables and updating firmware), plus it costs so much there usually compared to other sites and geeksquad fails. Needless to say, since they don't have models to try out at the store, I bought a mouse and a headset there before just to try it out and return it, then I bought it online.
