I came and saw this and was like WHOA what an eye sore. It's so messy. Subforums are way better and a lot more organized. Less spam of things you don't want to see.

Keep the prefixes for general chat b/c we all know some people post everything there when they belong in other subforums. But keep the sub forums for organization of people that want Rooting or trouble shooting problems and don't want to wade through all the other BS

We still have the Root subforum there. And you can sort through the general forum and have it function like a subforum. Sort by trouble shooting, accessories and tips/tricks.

My same issue. I usually post with my phone. I can't start a thread in this part of the forum because of the pre fix thing. Theres no way to enter it, and I did not know what was wrong until I loaded the normal web page.

Yeah unfortunately that issue is out of our hands and solely in the Phandroid dev's. Phases has said that they are working on implementing it so my guess is its only a matter of time.

Well this thread proved to show nothing since its a tie. Lol -_-

When we were discussing this before I thought it sounded pretty cool but I have to be honest, I hate it. It seems like such a cluttered mess and I would have to imagine its not very noob friendly with everything shuffled together like a 52 card pick up.

The filter is nice and I have bookmarked each of my favorite prefix's in my browser bar for convenience but the overall is a real mess for any new comers.

Nevertheless, I love AF and I will continue digging through the crap to find the gems :)

We're making some changes, hopefully for the better. Moved the prefix out of the thread title and into the thread icon column, and moved the filter box above that.

Honestly, I'm a fan of doing it this way; I haven't browsed forums by folder/category structure in half a decade, ever since there was the ability to view "new posts", or "unanswered posts" and subscribe to specific sections to further refine those two options. This adds a new reference point when I'm scanning over the list choosing what threads to read, so I vote in favor.

Those that were against it - does this new format make it any better? IMO I was kinda "meh" about them but now that they're actually lined up, makes it much easier on the eyes.

I was meh about the prefixes as well (little to no organization- everything was scrunched together) but now love them, especially the filter system... thank you to whoever made this modification to the prefix system :D

I like prefixes much better now that the Phandroid mobile app allows me to set a prefix and start a thread with my Thunderbolt.
