+1, couldn't agree more. With the awesome widgets, being able to resize widgets, and now with today's update I have 5 columns with 7 rows. Definitely one of my favorite apps!!
To be honest, I don't remember where I got that icon pack for the dock. I'll try to figure it out tomorrow and get back to you.
To me ADW seems to be more customizable wit the options of how you want this to happen in your menus and what not, but a big draw back for me is the lack of screens. It only has five where as LPP has 7. Plus I like the layout of the lower bar (don't know what it's technically called) the one where you have your menu and you can flick through like three times. I think it'd be cool if you could flick through and have double layers of menus there. So two menus for every flick sideways and you flick upwards for the other screen. I like how ADW does that hide the bar with the shortcuts thing. I think they both have their perks, but imo they both beat the stock launcher.
Ref the above, I'm using ADW with 7 screens. From the homescreen, click menu, then edit - here you can add/delete screens, move them around etc...
Woot, finally got screenshots through the Dalvik monitor to work again by turning off and on USB debugging. In any event, I had to do a factory reset of my phone not too long ago since everything was freezing up. The hard reset definitely resolved all the issues and I could once again make phone calls! Which was a nice touch. Not sure what cause the issue; perhaps too many apps or something, who knows. In any event, here's my setup that's similar to what I had before with some new inspiration from this board. I can't decide if my text icons (on the far left and right screens) are worth it as it's really just for aesthetics and don't serve much additional functionality/feasibility as there are typically linked somewhere else (I also have 3 docks, but only the first one is shown). I think the one on the far left looks decent, but the one on the far right is a bit fugly (had to take a picture of that one as I removed it before got screenshot tool to work). Took me way to long to make those icons though, so I don't want all that work to be for naught. haha! In addition, I meant to put the Google Search widget up top on the homescreen instead of Vlingo, but there's a weird bug that after using it once, it was moving up a bit near the top and overlapping with notifications. It not only looked bad but made me unable to use it anymore! I removed and re-added and restarted my phone several times. It'd look fine and work the first time around, but then would move and fail. So, I put Vlingo there, which looked better with my color scheme anyways, and simply added a search icon to the homescreen. Vlingo has a couple functionalities that I like more than Voice search, so it's not bad having both in my mind. (I like the "find coffee shops near Cambridge" results more than Google's version. Can also add subject to e-mail unlike voice search). (center, left 1, left 2, right 1, right 2)
Small world, I'm from Towson. At any rate, where did you get the sweet black notification bar? I'm assuming you are rooted, deodexed, etc? I wish there was an easier way to customize it.
Where do you get that Clock? It looks amazing with this wallpaper? edit: well that didnt work too well, if anyone can help me out, its tread311's text clock on his rain drop wallpaper
Just make the whole image transparent in the correct size. If you don't have photoshop, you can download Paint.NET for free to do it (I don't know of a way to do it in standard Paint). Select the entire image, and click the delete button. Voila! It should then show it as a white and gray checkered pattern, meaning it's transparent. Hope that helps!
