Was I wrong in thinking that it would be as integrated as the Gmail support? Is it just simply using the email client to setup your Yahoo account?

That is what it was supposed to do. I like/prefer it separate from gmail.

So before you couldn't use the email client for Yahoo? Is that the change?

No. Before, you could use the email client for Yahoo. I've been doing that for months...But there were issues with it. I'm hoping those issues are addressed in the 2.1 update (I'm waiting to get it OTA, so I can't say if anything's fixed or not yet.)

There was work arounds to get it to work. It was not as simple as adding a gmail account. The update was suppose to make it as easy as gmail.
